Cookie Settings

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. It helps certain features work or measures how the site is used. This page explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) the ifreq.io website uses today, and how you can manage them.

1. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies and equivalent technologies are essential to the site's operation and cannot be disabled. On ifreq.io, we only use: – local storage (localStorage) of your language choice (French or English), so we can show you the right version of the site on your next visit; – local storage of your answer to the cookie banner, so we don't ask you again on every page; – temporary local storage of answers in progress in the IFREQ Days application form, to avoid losing your progress if the tab closes accidentally. These drafts contain no sensitive data and stay on your device only until you submit your application. These technologies do not require your prior consent because they are strictly necessary for the site to function.

2. Audience measurement (PostHog)

We use PostHog, an audience measurement tool provided by PostHog, Inc. (United States), to understand how the site is used and improve it: pages visited, clicks on the main buttons (for example "Download the app"), forms successfully sent (without their content), language changes, and technical information such as browser, device type, approximate location derived from the IP address and referring site. We never send the content of the forms you fill in (name, email, phone, answers) to PostHog. We do not use any advertising cookies or ad pixels. Nothing is measured before you answer the cookie banner. Then: – if you click "Accept all", PostHog stores an anonymous identifier in a cookie and in local storage (named ph_<project key>_posthog), which lets us recognise your visits over time. Session recordings may also be made to understand navigation issues; all form fields are masked in these recordings; – if you click "Necessary only", PostHog runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device, and visits are only counted in aggregate, using a hash computed on PostHog's servers that cannot be linked to you from one day to the next. PostHog data is hosted in the United States. This transfer outside the European Economic Area is covered by the safeguards provided in PostHog's data processing agreement (including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses). Measurement data is kept only as long as needed to analyse how the site is used.

3. How to manage cookies from your browser

You can change your choice at any time by deleting this site's data (cookies and local storage) in your browser settings: the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit and let you choose again. You can also configure your browser to accept, decline or delete cookies, usually in its privacy or security settings. Disabling local storage of your language choice does not prevent you from browsing the site; it simply means your preferred language won't be remembered between visits.
